Dr Sarah Hughes becomes Trustee

Dr Sarah Hughes becomes Trustee Image

PANS PANDAS UK is delighted to welcome Dr Sarah Hughes to the board of trustees.

Sarah is passionate about improving understanding and awareness of PANS and PANDAS, as well as supporting families managing these conditions.

Sarah was a manager within the Deloitte & Touche Global Employment Solutions team, providing tax planning and advisory services to multinational clients. Subsequently returning to her first love of research, Sarah gained a MSc (distinction) in Oceanographic sciences and then her PhD (ecotoxicology: physiology and gene expression).

Living in the south-west, Sarah enjoys spending time outside with her family.

Following the sudden onset of PANDAS in one of her children, Sarah approached PANS PANDAS UK to offer her scientific research skills in support of our work.

Sarah has volunteered for the charity in various capacities and will now be bringing her considerable knowledge and skills to her new role as trustee.

Welcome aboard Sarah!
