PANS PANDAS UK at NASEN Live 2024

Thrilled to have the opportunity sharing information about PANS and PANDAS with such a wide range of educational professionals and related organisations. Some educators were already aware of PANS and PANDAS and were supporting children and young people in their settings with the diagnosis. Others were unaware but the information clearly resonated with their professional (and in some cases) personal experiences.  Many discussions were particularly focused on the specific challenges for neurodivergent children and young people, as well as the impact of the conditions on young people aged 16 + and into adulthood.

Whilst there is still clearly a very long way to go, a few delegates commented that everyone is starting to discuss this now, mentioning that they had heard about the conditions through their own SENCO networks and as part of professional conversations.

Multiple organisations and individuals also committed to attending the teacher training and to spreading awareness amongst further colleagues.

Thank you to all of those who stopped by on the day to chat to us.
