PANS PANDAS UK attends inaugural Neuro Forum

PANS PANDAS UK Chairperson, Vicky Burford and community representative, Kathryn Gillett, were pleased to attend the first ever meeting of the UK Neuro Forum in Parliament earlier today (16th January 2025).

As a longstanding member of the Neurological Alliance, PANS PANDAS UK were invited to attend the Parliamentary Breakfast Reception, hosted by Baroness Fraser of Craigmaddie. The purpose of the reception was to raise awareness of neurological conditions in the UK, and to bring together patient groups and charities supporting people with neurological conditions.

It proved a valuable opportunity to hear from speakers such as Baroness Fraser, Sir Stephen Powis, and an advocate from the Tourette’s Syndrome community who gave a powerful talk about his experiences of living with the condition. We were also pleased to speak to a number of MPs and peer organisations about PANS and PANDAS and our work.

This inaugural meeting of the UK Neuro Forum was a promising start for this collaborative drive to address gaps in treatment and care for people living with neurological conditions in the UK.
