Including all learners
New resource offers vital support for children and young people with medical needs in schools
Many children and young people living with PANS or PANDAS face significant challenges in having their medical needs recognised and supported within the school system.
A lack of awareness and understanding often leads to inadequate support, leaving families and professionals alike struggling.
A new publication, ‘Including Learners with Medical Needs in School, A Guide to Best Practice,’ aims to change that. This much-needed resource provides practical guidance for schools to better understand and support children and young people with complex medical conditions, including PANS and PANDAS.
“We’re proud to see PANS and PANDAS included in this valuable and much-needed resource.”
Tina Coope, PANS PANDAS UK Education Lead
