International Support for UK effort

Today, on International PANS PANDAS Awareness Day, we’re reminded of the value of working together as a community across borders to improve understanding and support for children and families affected by PANS and PANDAS.
We’re pleased to share some wonderful news: EXPAND, our European partner organisation, has generously committed £15,000 to help fund the UK PANS Joint Surveillance Study. This important research will provide much-needed data on how many children and young people in the UK are developing PANS and PANDAS each year.
With better data, we can make a stronger case for appropriate care pathways and ensure that families receive the support they need. The findings will also contribute to the wider international effort to improve outcomes for those living with these conditions.
We’re very grateful to EXPAND and its member organisations for their support and belief in the importance of this work. It’s a great example of what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared goal.
Together, we’re making progress—step by step—towards a future where every child with PANS or PANDAS is recognised and supported.
