Neil Gilson breaks 38-year record swimming across Lake Geneva in 22 hours to raise awareness and funds for PANS PANDAS UK

A huge congratulations to Neil Gilson, who has set a new record by swimming the entire length of Lake Geneva in 22 hours and nine minutes!
Neil, a former competitive swimmer, overcame strong currents, choppy waters, and the risk of hypothermia to achieve this amazing feat, fuelled by an unconventional diet of doughnuts and bananas.
This remarkable swim, breaking a 38-year-old record, was undertaken to raise awareness and funds for PANS PANDAS UK while completing the ‘CHALLENGE for PANS PANDAS UK’. His son Jack was diagnosed with PANS, a neuropsychiatric condition that affects children’s behaviour and social skills.
Neil’s determination and perseverance are truly inspiring. His journey not only highlights the importance of raising awareness for PANS and PANDAS but also shows what can be achieved with dedication and a touch of creativity.
Well done, Neil!
