Nursing Standard raises profile of PANS and PANDAS

PANS and PANDAS in the Nursing Standard

Huge thanks to Pavan Amara for her insightful article this month about PANS and PANDAS in the Nursing Standard.

In her article, Pavan explores the vital role that nurses have to play in supporting patients with the conditions and raises much-needed awareness within the nursing community of what signs and symptoms nurses should look out for.

The article outlines the current difficulties facing people presenting with symptoms of PANS and PANDAS and the work underway to improve awareness, diagnosis and management of the conditions.

Nurses who are aware of the symptomology of these conditions are uniquely placed to consider PANS and PANDAS and to provide much-needed support. The publication of this article in Nursing Standard, the UK’s highest circulating monthly nursing magazine with a readership of over 72,000, marks a huge step forward for the PANS and PANDAS community.
