Teen to Teen: a new resource for young people

Date Published: 03/03/2026

PANS and PANDAS can feel isolating and young people sometimes have difficulty explaining the conditions to their friends and peers.

That’s why one of our inspiring PANS PANDAS UK Youth Board members has created this incredible leaflet for teens.

Helping others to understand

Now 17, Avilee has lived with PANS since childhood and knows first-hand how important it is for other young people to be able to understand more about these conditions and their impacts on daily life. Building on her own lived experience, and by asking other affected young people, Avilee has designed a leaflet which she hopes will make explaining PANS and PANDAS to friends that bit easier.

Avilee shared:

What’s inside?

This leaflet gives a short overview of what PANS and PANDAS are, what symptoms people might have and helpful tips on how friends might help young people with the conditions feel supported and understood.

It is packed with insights, quotes and helpful QR codes for anyone wanting to find out more.

How do I get a copy?

You can read the leaflet online, or if you would like printed copies, head over to our shop where they are available in bundles of five to be posted out to you.

We want to say a huge thank you to Avilee for creating this amazing resource to help other young people with PANS and PANDAS
